Elizabethan and Jacobean theatre practice is said to have involved next to no rehearsal as an ensemble. In some instances this would have amounted to less than a day.
Play In A Day
The productions of Shakespeare Unstaged® are based on a quarto text of Shakespeare's plays, which can be very different from those that finally appeared in the first folio. Our cast rehearses and performs on the same day to recreate original theatre practice.
